Local golf squads win Thursday matches

Marysville’s varsity girls golf team edged Olentangy, 183-184, on Thursday.
Katie Bischoff was the medalist with a 38 and Olivia Ishmael carded a 47. They each had a personal-best score for a nine-hole match.
Maddie Powers shot a 45 and Olivia Virts finished with a 53.
FHS girls win
Audrey Brackenridge and Emily Wilson of Fairbanks were co-medalists during a triangular match.
They each carded a 41 as the Lady Panthers shot a 180. Greeneview shot a 221 and Greenon finished with a 224.
Other FHS scores were Natalie Parker-43, Racheal Studenmund-55, Allison Kise-61 and Shelby Jones-63.
Panthers triumph
The Fairbanks boys varsity golf team defeated Greenview at Sebastian Hills, 160-179.
Travis Brake led FHS with a 37, followed by Justin Brackenridge-38, Aidan Wilson-41, Cross Hackathorne-44, Logan Bocsy-45 and Seth Payne-49.
The Panther jayvees also won (no score was reported). Nick Murray and Trevin Rausch each shot a 50 and were co-medalists.
JVs fall
Marysville’s JV boys golf team fell to Bishop Watterson, 185-197.
Justin DeHoff led the Monarchs with a 47, followed by Aiden Prohaska-48, Caden Fulkerson-51 and Gavin Cossette-51.
Pioneers win
Jonathan Alder’s boys downed Tecumseh, 165-201.
Alder’s Mychal McKelvey was the medalist with a 40. Other JA scores were Tyler Hilbert-41 and Zach Otto and Hayden Mitchell-42.
Bunsold golfers win
The Bunsold Middle School golfers beat Fairbanks on a tie-breaker with the lower fifth score.
The Monarchs and Panthers each carded a 177. Jonathan Alder finished with a 217.
Bunsold scores were D. Delauter-41, J. Cusack-44, T. Shaw-44, W. McHenry-48, T. Watson-52, W. Mason-60, D. Lombardi-51 and T. Tague-61.
Panther scores were Alex Crowe-39, Andrew Crowe-44, N. Rausch-45, A. Higinbotham-40, N. Welch-64 and R. Beckoff-72.
Alder scores were A. Kerr-52, S. Ratliff-53, G. Welsch-54, N. Sowers-58, T. Ogg-58, B. Gargac-59, C. Baker-54, B. Fox-45, G. Headings-54 and A. Hart-57.
