Ben Logan FFA members build leadership skills, memories at camp

By From JT Staff Reports

Benjamin Logan FFA members recently attended Greenhand Camp, joining 244 campers from across the area for several days of leadership development, teamwork, and fun. Representing Benjamin Logan were Angelo Bernard, Liam Carnes, Dax Elliott, Christina Hammond, Alivia James, Ashlyn Kelsey, Macie Marmon, Braxton Pugh, and Savannah Rogers.

Throughout camp, members participated in leadership training, team-building activities, and a variety of camp challenges designed to help students build confidence and develop skills they can take back to their chapter and school. Members also enjoyed time together during the lakefront dance, where all 244 campers gathered for an evening of music, dancing, and fun.

Greenhand Camp provided Benjamin Logan members with opportunities to meet new people, strengthen their leadership skills, represent their chapter, and create memories that will last throughout their FFA experience. The Benjamin Logan FFA is proud of the enthusiasm and participation shown by these members throughout the camp experience.

Benjamin Logan fifth graders enjoy Timbits while revisiting letters they wrote last spring as part of the school’s “Future Me” project. The letters, inspired by the opening of a 1976 West Mansfield Elementary time capsule, describe life as a fourth grader in 2026 and will be stored until 2076. Timbits were first introduced in 1976, providing students with another connection between the past, present and future. The treats were provided by Dave Evans and Sherry Pugh. (Photo submitted)
