Johnny L. Furer, 92, of Richwood, died peacefully Monday evening, Aug. 28, 2017, at the Primrose Community in Marion. A 1943 graduate of the Mount Victory High School, he was veteran of the United States Navy and served during World War II. According to the Marysville Police Department, on Monday at 12:34 p.m. there was a three-car crash at 977 Delaware Ave. A gray 2008 Toyota Hybrid, driven by Jacqueline Andy, struck a silver 2011 Toyota Venza, driven by Forest Sheeler, which caused it to strike a white 2006 Ford pickup truck, driven by Scott Miller. Max and Patty (Cramer) Robinson of Marysville  celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary today. They were married August 28, 1947 by Max’s Uncle, Rev. Dr. Harry B. Parrott in Green Lake, Wisconsin. They are the parents of two children, Beth and John Marshall and Jeff and Julie Robinson of Marysville. There are seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.Max is a WWII Veteran, served 20 years as a Union County Commissioner and retired from farming this year. Patricia Loretta (Eilts) Kessen, 68, died Wednesday, Aug. 23, 2017, at the Mayfair Village Nursing Home in Dublin. She graduated from Streator Township High School in Streator, Illinois, in 1966 and attended licensed practical nursing school at St. Mary’s Hospital in LaSalle, Illinois, in 1967. According to the Union County Sheriff’s Office, at about 9:45 a.m. on Friday, a 1999 Sterling 827 semi owned by Keith Taylor Trucking and driven by John Secrest, 67, of Mt. Sterling, was heading westbound on U.S. 33 near Marysville when it suffered a tire blowout. The truck left the highway and eventually crashed into a wooded area.
