At 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, a 2006 International dump truck, driven by Shaun McCarty, 32, of Cardington, lost control and drove off the right side of U.S. 36, between White Stone and Springdale Roads, and into a ditch. The truck then rolled over but landed upright, spilling its load of concrete. McCarty was transported to Memorial Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries and was issued a traffic citation for failure to control his vehicle. Daniel L. Stillings, 70, of Milford Center, died on Saturday afternoon at his home following years of failing health. He was born Nov. 11, 1946, to the late Cloyd “Jim” and Mary M. Hayes Stillings.
Robert Lee “Bob” Wedge, 86, of Carey, died at 10:34 a.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Wyandot Memorial Hospital emergency room in Upper Sandusky. He was born on March 8, 1931, in Cottageville, West Virginia, to the late Roscoe G. and Margaret (Casper) Wedge.
