Donald Gwynn “Donnie” Parrott, 50, of Magnetic Springs, died unexpectedly Friday morning, April 28, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Marysville. He was born on Nov. 9, 1966, in Kenton, to William and Sally (Sanders) Parrott, who both survive.
Eugene “Gene” Slaughter, 69, of Marysville, died on Friday morning, April 28, at his home following an extended illness. He was born on July 19, 1947, in Union County, to the late Paul H. and Opal J. McCarty Slaughter.
Raymond G. Holloway, 79, of Marysville, died on Friday afternoon at Dublin Methodist Hospital following many months of failing health. He was born on Oct. 5, 1937, in Portsmouth, to the late Raymond and Ada K. Reed Holloway.

At 2:36 p.m. on Thursday, a 2005 GMC Sierra driven by William Carey reportedly rear-ended a 2001 Ford Mustang driven by Tanya Garee-Ballard, at the intersection on Boundary Road and Route 37. Garee-Ballard was reportedly injured in the crash. (Journal-Tribune photo by Jacob Runnels)
Kay F. Risner, 75, of Raymond, died late Wednesday evening on April 26, 2017, at Riverside Methodist Hospital following a brief illness. She was born at the family home in Lunda near rural West Mansfield on Sept. 9, 1941, to the late Francis O. and Helen L. Sullivan Johnson.
At about 7:10 a.m. today, a motorcycle rider on Honda Parkway at U.S. 33 lost control while trying to stop and slid into a trailer tire of a semi truck which was completing a turn. The rider was transported to Memorial Hospital with serious injuries and was expected to be transferred to a Columbus hospital via medical helicopter. Josephine Blanche Hendrickson, 80, of Marion, died on Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at Marion General Hospital. She was born on Oct. 3, 1936, in Marion, to the late Charles Herbert and Mary Ann (Jacobs) Huntsman.
