She was a beautiful free spirit and a talented artist who was well known for her flower arrangements throughout town. Eric Lynn Murray, age 59, of Richwood, Ohio passed away peacefully Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Marysville, following an extensive illness. He was a 911 dispatcher for the Union County Sheriff’s Office for many years. Eric was an avid fisherman, woodworker and craftsman. A member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, he also enjoyed golfing and bowling and loved yearly vacations with his wife, children and grandchildren, who meant the world to him. Some Marysville streets — including portions of London Avenue, South Main Street, and Ninth Street —were closed this morning as automobile industry officials tested in-car technology in the city. All this week Marysville has has served as host for OmniAir Consortium Plugfest, an event that bills itself as “the premier testing event for connected vehicle technologies.” This event offers a week of comprehensive lab, field and security testing for a variety of connected technologies and is designed as a “readiness event” for connected vehicles and infrastructure. Harold Ray Herd, 85, passed away on Nov. 10, 2021. Harold was born on Dec. 26, 1935 in Raymond to the late Ralph and Rietta (Dillon) Herd. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Sonja (Martin) Herd. He grew up on the family farm in Liberty Township. He graduated from Northwestern High School in 1954. June Hakola, age 89, of Marysville, Ohio, died peacefully Saturday, November 6, 2021 at her home. Born June 27, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Walter and Mabel Williams Bussard, June was the youngest of six children. A 1950 graduate of Central High School, she married Robert Hakola at Hoge Memorial Presbyterian Church in September 1952. They lived in the Hilliard, Ohio area for nearly twenty years. JoAnn Ballard Owens, age 92, of Raymond, died Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Marysville. A homemaker, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. As a farmer’s wife, she helped with all sorts of chores through the years, including hauling grain, milking cows and fixing huge lunches for the farm hands.
