Brad Schick, a disc golf pro from Westerville, donated his time to come to Marysville on Tuesday. Schick has been playing the sport since 1991. He went to the Mill Valley Disc Golf Course to meet with the Marysville Disc Golf Club. He also gave instruction on putting, forehands, backhands, throwing the proper disc and how to properly grip a disc. According to Plain City Police Department reports: An officer responded to North Avenue in reference to a suspicious person complaint May 26 at 3:47 a.m. The caller stated that a group of people had been in front of the apartments for some time and appeared to be suspicious. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with subject. The subject stated that he had just been talking with several of his friends. An investigation is ongoing after a dump truck roll over Tuesday afternoon. About 4:15 p.m., Tuesday, a dump truck was driving north on state Route 37, just north of Magnetic Springs. The driver of the dump truck was hauling shredded metal, close to his delivery. The driver went off the right side of the road into a ditch. Route 37, between Hopewell and Askins roads, was closed for more than four hours while officials investigated the crash. No further information was available at press time. The intersection at state routes 47 and 31 has been reopened following a two-vehicle crash this morning. Shortly before 9:30 a.m., a white Chevrolet pickup truck allegedly failed to stop at the intersection and hit a semi. Officials said it appeared the pick-up truck’s breaks did not engage when the driver tried to stop. No one was transported for medical treatment as a result of the crash.
