North Union’s class of 2019 held its graduation ceremonies Friday evening. The class featured five valedictorians and seven salutatorians. Valedictorians for the class are Zachary Kratowicz, Audra Adams, Madeline Ardrey, Dalton Skaggs and Gavin Zwayer. Each valedictorian met the standard of a 4.0 GPA (on an unweighted scale), received an Academic Honors Diploma, and completed 18 core college prep classes. Salutatorians for the class are Joel Ackerman, Abigail Chadwick, Sarah Chadwick, Karen Elisabeth Michael, Cole Peterson, Kamryn Rhodes andLogan Suiter. In a meeting earlier this week, the Marysville Council tabled a Scott Farms planned apartment complex for two weeks. The Redwood management company, which is proposing the complex, needs to secure an additional easement to complete the deal. We want to point out Redwood has also paid to help improve the traffic flow in the area. This isn’t always the case. Pearle E. Collinson, 97, of Marysville died Wednesday afternoon, May 29, 2019, at Kobacker House in Columbus following a brief illness. She was artistic, creative and very talented. Gary Lee Cormany, 79, formerly of Marysville and Leesburg, Florida, died Tuesday, May 28, 2019, in Willow Brook at Delaware Crossing. He was a graduate of Waverly High School and the University of Tennessee where he earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. The Union County Sheriff’s Office has released additional information about the fatal crash that occurred Monday, May 27, 2019 on State Route 38, south of Timber Lane. The driver of the 2011 Ford F-150 has been identified as Steven L. Anderson, 57, of Marysville.
