The Liberty Township Fire Department responded to a residence near Route 31 and Miller Road for a fire that ended up torching a garage and everything in it. “It’s pretty well-ruined,” said Liberty Township Fire Chief Lloyd Segner. The fire occurred Tuesday at about 11:30 p.m. He said he has “no idea” what the cause is, though there’s nothing that suggests anything suspicious. Fairbanks’ girls soccer team suffered its first loss of the season to No. 2 state-ranked Grandview Heights by a score of 5-0 on Monday.
