Former Lady Monarchs remember teammate

Marysville High School’s softball program dedicated a victory bell in the memory of former player Kelly Holmes. Holmes, a 1993 graduate of MHS, died unexpectedly two years ago from a brain aneurysm. She was a four-year softball letter winner and earned league and Central District honors during her career. She was a member of the 1993 team that posted a 23-2 record and earned a berth in the state Final Four. Members of the 1993 team donated the victory bell that was dedicated on Saturday.
