Dear Editor,
I have a comment to make about the May 16 edition of the paper addressing the license plate cameras, also known as Flock cameras.
These cameras are to take pictures of the license plate of each person entering and leaving Marysville. The information will then be digitalized and logged. The picture is to be deleted in 30 days, but I assume will be resumed also.
I can see how this could be useful to the police, but it is a bit concerning as it makes me think of “Big Brother.” Anything connected to technology can be hacked and the information misused. I hope this is not the case.
