A Marysville man died early Friday morning after he struck a deer while driving on U.S. 33.
The Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the crash at mile post 17 of U.S. 33, just east of the rest area, at approximately 4:54 a.m. Friday.
Jesse A. Price, 41, of Marysville was driving northwest on U.S. 33 and struck a deer in the right line. His vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a ditch and overturning through a tree line. His vehicle came to final rest, upright in a field.
Price was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Union County Coroner’s Office.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Jerome Township Division of Fire and the coroner’s office.
Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor, according to a release from OSHP. Price was wearing a safety belt.
The incident remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
