Lois E. Nicol, 91, of Marysville died Wednesday morning, Dec. 25, at Memorial Gables following a brief illness.
She was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse with Union County Memorial Hospital.
She was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and was a devoted farmer’s wife and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was born June 1, 1928 at home to the late Carl and Clara Eickemeyer Wolpert.
She was married June 12, 1949 at St. John’s Lutheran Church to Herbert C. Nicol, who preceded her in death Sept. 22, 2015.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Beth Nicol, and three grandsons, Jonathan and Jacob Repasky and Christopher Nicol.
She is survived by her children, Rebecca (Jerome) Repasky and Joe (Eva) Nicol, both of Marysville and Ted (Jeanie) Nicol of Plain City; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Kellan) Kershner, Matthew (Megan) Nicol, John (Kelly) Nicol, Samantha Jo (Richard) Zerkle and Faith and Jeremy Schilling; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews; siblings, Bernard Wolpert, Martha Wolff and Walter (Phyllis) Wolpert, all of Marysville and Esther Carmany of Columbus.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. Jacob Heino officiating. Burial will be in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from noon until service time at 2 p.m.
