Officers assisted the Madison County Sheriff’s Office with an active shooter on Route 29 at 4:50 p.m. May 12.
An officer observed a vehicle parked illegally on Lantern Lane at 3:32 p.m. May 12. The officer made contact with the owner and the vehicle was moved to a legal parking space.
An officer responded to Doe Street at 1:02 p.m. May 12 for a report of an injured raccoon.
An officer responded to Cooper Lane at 10:43 a.m. May 12 for a parking complaint. Upon arrival, the officer found that all vehicles in the area were parked legally.
An officer responded to a non-injury crash between two vehicles at the intersection of McKirgan Place and North Avenue at 5:39 p.m. May 12. Subsequently, Daniel Eilerman, 25, of Fairborn, was issued a citation for starting and backing.
Officers responded to an alarm drop on Converse Avenue at 12:04 p.m. May 11. The officers made contact with the homeowner and was advised it was accidental.
An officer responded to North Mechanic Street at 11:42 p.m. May 11 for a report of a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was located and no driving violations were observed. Contact was made with the driver and he was notified of the complaint.
An officer observed a parked vehicle with an expired registration on Willowbend Circle at 6:25 p.m. May 11. Contact was made with the owner and he was advised of the violation.
An officer responded to Red Hen Café and Bakery on West Main Street at 1:20 p.m. May 11 for a complaint of a parked vehicle blocking the alley. The officer canvassed the area and did not locate the owner. Kirby’s Towing arrived on scene and towed the vehicle to their lot.
An officer assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a BAC test at the Plain City Municipal Building on Village Boulevard at 2:38 a.m. May 11.
An officer observed an occupied parked vehicle in a construction area on Hofbauer Road at 1:46 a.m. May 11. Contact was made with the driver and he advised he pulled over for a minute.
An officer observed an occupied parked vehicle on the lot of Plain City Elementary School on South Chillicothe Street at 1:06 a.m., after hours. The officer made contact and advised the occupants they couldn’t be on the property without permission.
An officer responded to Warrenton Drive at 3:44 p.m. May 11 for a parking complaint and attempts to contact the owner are being made.
An officer responded to an injury crash in the area of South Chillicothe Street and East West Avenue between two vehicles at 12:02 p.m. May 10. Subsequently, Anita Sullivan, 71, of Plain City, was issued a citation for failure to control. One individual was transported to the hospital.
An officer responded to Steadfast Performance Training on Gay Street at 7:34 p.m. May 10 for an alarm drop. The officer made contact with the business owner and was advised it was accidental.
An officer observed a garage door open on Fanshell Drive at 1:24 a.m. May 9 and nothing appeared out of the ordinary. Attempts to contact with the resident were unsuccessful.
A traffic stop was initiated on a vehicle with an expired registration on West Main Street at 2:44 a.m. May 8. Upon approach, the officer observed an open container of alcohol. While getting the open container of alcohol, the officer observed several baggies with a white powder residue. The driver was put through field sobriety tests and it was determined that she was not impaired. Subsequently, Cassie Sloan, 39, of Marysville, was issued citations for no operator’s license, OVI suspension and charged with open container. Additional charges are possible pending lab analysis.
An officer responded to Carlisle Gifts on South Jefferson Avenue at 8:08 a.m. May 8 for an alarm drop. The officer made contact with an employee and was advised it was accidental.
An officer responded to a non-injury crash between two vehicles on South Jefferson Avenue at 9:01 a.m. May 8. Subsequently, Stefan Bridges, 43, of Plain City, was issued a citation for assured clear distance ahead, non-compliance/FRA and no operator’s license. One vehicle was towed from the scene.
An officer responded to Conductor Drive at 12:38 p.m. May 8 for a 911 follow-up. The officer canvassed the area and did not locate anyone in distress.
An officer was requested to deliver a message to a resident on Foster Street at4:18 p.m. May 8. The officer made contact and relayed the message.
An officer responded to Darby Station Boulevard at 5:09 p.m. May 8 for a report of a light pole at the intersection with Freight Line Way that had been hit. The owner of the pole did not want to pursue with any charges.
An officer responded to Darby Station Boulevard at 9 p.m. May 8 for a report of subjects loading material from a construction site into a truck. After further investigation, it was confirmed they had permission to take the material.
Officers responded to North Avenue Apartments on North Avenue at 10:02 p.m. May 8 for a report of unwanted dumpster divers at the listed location. The subjects left the area before officers arrived. Officers canvassed the area but did not locate anyone matching the description given.
An officer responded to a non-injury crash on U.S. 42 north of North Chillicothe Street for a vehicle that struck a deer at 10:45 p.m. May 8.
An officer assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with a trespassing complaint on Industrial Parkway at 11:48 p.m. May 8.
An officer responded to U.S. 42 at 7:20 a.m. May 4 for a report of a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was notified of the complaint but denied speeding. He was advised to obey all traffic laws and given a warning for speeding.
An officer responded to East Main Street at 9:56 p.m. May 4 for a report of a known subject showing up at the residence multiple times uninvited. The caller wanted the subject trespassed from her residence. The subject was contacted and verbally trespassed from the property.
Officers responded to North Avenue at 3:48 p.m. May 4 for a report of an unruly juvenile. The officers spoke with the juvenile and he was warned of possible consequences.
An officer took possession of a found credit card at the Plain City Area Baseball Association on North Chillicothe Street at 2:59 p.m. May 4 and returned it to the owner.
An officer responded to U Will Dance on North Chillicothe Street at 10:26 a.m. May 4 for a report of a subject who might have been having a medical issue. Contact was made with the subject and after speaking with the subject, it was determined he was fine.
An officer responded to a neighbor dispute on Johnson Court at 5:50 a.m. May 4. The parties were advised to stay away from each other and not to have contact with each other.
Officers found a door unsecure at The Grainery on West Main Street at 3:31 a.m. May 4. The officers searched the building and found nothing out of the ordinary. The door was secured and the business owner was notified.
Officers responded to Pastime Park on North Chillicothe Street at 12:48 p.m. May 4 for a report of an individual possibly experiencing a mental health issue. The individual was transported to the hospital.
An officer responded to Pastime Park on North Chillicothe Street at 12:12 a.m. May 3 for a trespassing complaint regarding a subject who was on the property after hours. Contact was made with the subject and she was warned of possible consequences.
Officers assisted the Union County Sheriff’s Office with an injury crash on Route 161 at 10:10 p.m. May 3.
An officer responded to Gay Street at 1:06 p.m. May 3 for a behavioral health issue and determined the individual was not a harm to herself or others.
