Panthers take second place at own invitational
The Fairbanks boy’s golf team finished four strokes behind the winning team from Olentangy (330) at the Panther Invitational at Darby Creek Golf Course on Tuesday.
Following in order behind the Panthers’ 334 were Pleasant-366, Buckeye Valley-368, West Jefferson-376, Madison Plains-381, Kenton Ridge-383, Ridgedale-383, Northeastern-386, Gahanna Lincoln-397, West Liberty Salem-400, Shekinah Christian-404, Hilliard Darby-421, Triad-436 and Centerburg-452.
Justin Brackenridge finished on top for the Panthers with an 81. Travis Brake and Aidan Wilson each scored an 84. Logan Bocsy turned in an 85, Seth Payne tallied an 87 and Cross Hackathorn shot a 93.
Jon Alder triumphs
The Pioneers of the Jonathan Alder boy’s golf team made its second trip to the Players Club at Foxfire Golf Course in two days on Tuesday.
This time, Alder took the top spot with a 324 team score. Heath came in second with a 354, while Northridge claimed third with a 401.
Mychal McKelvey turned in the best score card for the Pioneers with a 77. Hayden Mitchell and Tyler Hilbert both carded a 79 and Zach Otto rounded out the scoring with an 89.
Lady Cardinals drop OHC Opener
The Triad girl’s golf team lost its Ohio Heritage Conference opener to Madison Plains, 247-249, at Woodland Golf Course on Tuesday.
The Lady Cardinals were led by Kayleigh Boldman with a 56. Lexi Moore shot a 62. Shelby Sheets carded an 68, Anna Nott turned in a 73 and Ashley Cave finished with a 74.
The Bunsold Lady Monarchs golf team tallied its first win of the season against Gahanna (no team scores were reported).
Cassi Van Dyke tallied a 55, while Emily Williams shot a 66 for Bunsold.
