Local golfers fare well in Heart of Ohio Junior Golf match


The Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association made their fourth stop on the tour at Pine Lakes in Mt. Gilead. Local golfer Justin Breckenridge of Fairbanks took second place in a field of 20 golfers in the 16-18 division. Brackenridge tallied a 36-40-70, shooting a one under on the day putting him only one stroke behind the course winner Mallory Graham, who shot a 39-36-75.
Brackenridge tallied a birdie to start his day and followed up with an eagle at hole four, while collecting 10 pars throughout the course to finish in second place.
Aiden Wilson of Fairbanks landed in fifth place with a 45-37-82 with one birdie and eight pars, while Emily Wilson, also of Fairbanks, tallied a 46-41-87 on the day with a one birdie and five pars to end her day in eighth place.
In the 13-15 class Alexander Crowe of Fairbanks ended his day in seventh place with a 43-45-88 in a field of 26 golfers. Fellow Panther golfers Logan Bocsy and Andrew Crowe each finished in 12th place. Bocsy tallied a 43-50-93, while collecting three pars, while Crowe scored a 49-44-93 with one birdie and a par.
The tour will continue play on Thursday, July 5 at Memorial Park Golf Course in Kenton.
