Marysville’s varsity baseball team downed Dublin Jerome, 10-3, during a regular season game on Saturday.
The Monarchs plated two runs in the visitors’ portion of the third inning and went on top 3-0 in the fourth.
The Celtics tied the game at 3-3 after five frames.
MHS (16-9) scored five times in the sixth and added a pair of insurance scores in the seventh.
Marysville outhit Jerome, 12-4.
Both teams committed one error.
Jack Christian and Garret North led MHS with three hits in four trips to the plate.
North had a home run among his hits.
Also hitting safely for MHS were Blake Storr (two), Chase Kilgore, Kaleb Schultz and Anthony DiDonato.
Christian, North and Kilgore each drove in a pair of runs.
Blaine Williams pitched the final three innings and picked up the win.
North, Storr and Drew Eaches also pitched.
The Monarchs will open Division II district competition on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
They will travel to Dublin Coffman to face Grove City.
