Netters capture matches


The varsity tennis teams from Marysville and Jonathan Alder won matches on Monday.

The Lady Monarchs (8-5 overall and 3-2 in the Ohio Capital Conference) turned back Central Crossing, 5-0.

JA scored a 4-1 victory over Bellefontaine and ran its record to 11-0.



-Emma Pzedpelski (M) defeated Wallner 6-1, 6-1;

-Hanna Hogan (M) turned back Toscan 6-1, 6-0;

-Caroline Geraghty won by a 6-0, 6-1 verdict over Creasap.


-Ellie Williams and Maddie Blaisdell (M) won their match against Patterson and Wright 6-0, 6-0;

-Krista OShelski and Caitlee Hill (M) defeated I. Meleshchuk and E. Meleshchuk 6-2, 6-2.

“This was a great win for the Lady Monarchs,” said coach Bill Romine.



-Courtney Sims defeated Maddy Grove (JA) 2-6, 7-5, 15-13;

Chloe Sullivan (JA) downed Samantha Starkey 6-1, 6-1;

-Georgie Wheeler (JA) topped Mia Neer 6-4, 6-3.


-Abigail Watkins and Eliza Watkins (JA) beat  Gracie Middaugh and Meng Wang 6-1, 6-0;

-Ali Craig and Brooklyn Banks (JA) defeated Taryn Mullins and  Lauren Brown  6-2, 6-0.
