North Union’s softball and baseball teams closed out the regular season with victories over Northwestern on Saturday.
The games were the second in a two-series Central Buckeye Conference match up.
The NU baseball team toppled the Warriors in the first contest and completed the sweep with an 8-6 victory over the weekend.
The Lady Cats followed suit. Saturday’s 12-3 triumph completed a sweep over the Lady Warriors.
The Lady Cats plated a run in the first inning during the road game.
Reese DeCamp took the circle to start the game and kept the Lady Warriors off the board for three innings.
NU took a 5-0 lead in the top of the fourth.
Northwestern plated a pair of runs to pull to within 5-2.
Each team tallied a run in the fifth.
North Union extended its lead with a pair of runs in the sixth to take an 8-3 margin. Jada Davis hit a long ball out of the park to help NU move the score to 12-3.
DeCamp held the Lady Warriors in the bottom of the seventh inning to notch the complete-game win.
Regan Martino went three-for-four at the plate with two RBIs.
Kayla Sedgwick was two-for-five and added an RBI, while Laine Sparks tallied two RBI’s.
The Lady Cats finished at the top of the CBC Mad River Division with a 12-4 record and finished their regular season with a 19-6 mark.
The Lady Cats will now move on to the Division III Central District tournament.
They will host Columbus North International on Wednesday.

John Hughes took the hill to open the baseball game against the Warriors. Northwestern plated a pair of runs in the first inning.
North Union needed a couple innings to answer, but tallied four runs in the third for a 4-2 lead.
The Wildcats stretched their lead to 5-2 in the top of the fourth inning.
The Warriors, however, put together enough offense to tie the game at 5-5 by the bottom of the fourth inning.
The Cats answered with two runs in the top of the fifth to retake a 7-5 lead.
NU coach Klarke Ransome called on Evan Hoffer to take over on the mound in the bottom of the fifth.
The junior pitcher kept the Warriors in check.
The Wildcats extended their lead to 8-5 in the sixth.
Northwestern made a push in the bottom of the seventh inning by plating a run.
Hoffer ended the late run to notch the save and give NU its eighth win of the season.
The Wildcats finished near the bottom of the CBC Mad River Division with a 6-10 record.
North Union has one regular season game left on the schedule against Westerville Central on Tuesday.
The Division III tournament will begin on May 18.
