The Wildcats of North Union took the Triad Cross-Country Invitational with three top 10 runners and a team score of 50 points on Tuesday.
The Panthers of Fairbanks also competed at the meet and took seventh place with 160 points and the host school Triad finished in ninth place with a score of 207.
Adam Brown was the Wildcats’ top runner with a sixth-place finish in a time of 18:16.
Joe Reniker led the Panthers as he was the eighth runner to cross the finish line in 18:39.
Joel Krebehenne helped the Cats take first place with a ninth-place time of 18:38, while teammate Jacob Willis was 10th with a time of 18:42.
Eli O’Brien was Triad’s top runner with a 14th place finish in a time of 19:14 out of the field of 91 runners.

The Lady Cats of North Union also found success at the Cardinals’ meet with a second-place team finish with 60 points. Fairbanks took third place with a team score of 66. Tecumseh earned top honors with a score of 28.
Kamryn Rhodes was the Lady Cats’ top runner with a third-place finish in a time of 21:27.
Adeline Fitzwater of Fairbanks took fourth-place with a time of 21:56. Kalor Greve finished in the top 10 with a 10th place finish in a time of 23:18 to help the Panthers earn their third-place team finish.
