With the Ohio High School Athletic Association girls basketball regular season coming to a close, coaches from each district and division met Sunday to cast their votes for seeding in the upcoming tournament.
In the Central District, Division I, Marysville (9-10) received a bid for the 29th seed against Delaware Hayes, who is the 18th seed.
The two teams will play at Delaware Hayes High School on Saturday, Feb, 15 at 1 p.m.
The winner will move on to face the 10th-seeded Hilliard Bradley Jaguars in the sectional finals.
Jonathan Alder (17-3), in the Central District, Division II, received the number one seed and will face Columbus East, the 19th seed, at home on Friday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m.
The winner will move to play Columbus South in the sectional finals.
North Union claimed the eighth-seed in Division IIII.
The Lady Cats (11-8) will open their tournament against 15th-seeded Fredericktown at NU.
The winner will move on to play 14th -eeded Columbus Academy.
Fairbanks (8-10) landed in the 12th seed and will play 10th-seeded Elgin in their opener on the Comets’ home floor.
The winner will play 19th-seeded Centerburg.
Games for NU and Fairbanks will played on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m.
In Division IV, Southwest District, the Cardinals of Triad received the 11th seed and will play 12th- seeded Ansonia on Saturday, Feb. 15 at 3:30 p.m.
The winner of that contest will play top-seeded Fort Loramie.
The Triad-Ansonia contest will be played at Sidney High School.
All opening games will be played at the school with the higher seed.
