The Triad High School baseball team has claimed win after win in the month of April.
A 4-2 victory on Tuesday against Ohio Heritage Conference opponent Greenon was just the latest triumph for the Cardinals.
Triad’s last loss came back on April 2 to Northeastern and since then, the Cardinals have won eight straight contests.
Tuesday’s win came with help from Ayden Spriggs on the mound.
He pitched a complete game for the win and along the way, tallied seven strikeouts,
Spriggs yielded two walks and zero earned runs.
The Cardinals were able to strike first with a run in the bottom of the second.
They widened their gap with a pair of runs in the fourth inning to take a 3-0 lead.
Greenon responded in the top of the fifth with its only runs of the game.
The Cardinals added an insurance run in the bottom half of the inning to take a 4-2 lead.
Spriggs kept the game locked at a two-run spread to give the Cards their eighth win of the season.
Batai Lease went two-for-three at the plate.
Spriggs and Jared Spors each drove in a run while going one-for-two in the box. Triad is 6-1 in the Ohio Heritage Conference and sits three games behind Mechanicsburg, the North Division’s top team.
The Cardinals are scheduled to return to the diamond on Friday against West Jefferson.

Lady Cardinals top Greenon
The Lady Cardinals produced early runs to hold on to a 6-5 win over Greenon.
Triad plated runs in the first, second, third and fourth innings.
The Lady Cardinals put up three runs in the second inning, while tallying eight hits in the game.
Ali Cox went two-for-three at the plate, while Joni Russell added a two-bagger to her batting average.
Russell was also inside the circle.
She pitched a complete game for the win, while giving up six runs.
The Lady Cardinals are now 7-9 for the season and sit near the bottom of the Ohio Heritage Conference North Division with a 5-4 record.
Triad is scheduled to return to action against Springfield Catholic Central today.
