The North Union Wildcat runners don’t know how to lose. For the fourth time in a month, the boys cross-country took top honors on Saturday.
This time it w as their home meet, the North Union Cross-Country Invitational. The Wildcats took first place with a team score of 32, while Elgin was second with a 61.
The Cats put four runners in the top 10 out a field of 72 runners.
Adam Brown was the individual runner-up with a time of 17:06.
He was followed by Brennan Griffith, third, 17:27; Dalton Skaggs, ninth, in a time of 18:05; and Joel Krebehenne, 10th with a time of 18:09.
The remaining Wildcat runners finished as follows:
-Jacob Willis, 11th, 18:20;
-Gabe Burggraf, 21st, 19:12;
-Chris Isler, 23rd, 19:15;
-Matthew Millington, 35th, 20:11;
-Zak Kratowicz, 37th, 20:17;
-Josh Cahill, 39th, 20:21;
-Casey Rensel, 41st, 20:31;
-Derek Ballinger, 45th, 20:46;
-John Popovich, 51st, 21:19;
-Riccardo Cantori, 62nd, 22:55;
-Lino Bender, 67th, 24:42;
-Mack Plotner, 69th, 27:19;
-Calvin Harvey, 70th, 27:21;
-Nathan Matlack, 72nd, 35:11;
The Lady Cats also competed at their home meet and took third with a team score of 54.
Columbus School for Girls won the meet with 40 points and Johnstown-Monroe was second with 48.
Kamryn Rhodes was the Lady Cat’s top finisher with a second-place effort at 20:21. Ashlee Kohler took 14th place out of a field of 52 runners with a time of 22:17.
The remaining Lady Cats finished as follows:

-Kaylee Smith, 25th, 23:54;
-Madelyne Liebler, 32nd, 24:36;
-Katie Cunningham, 37th, 25:01;
-Libby Ardrey, 39th, 25:07.
The Wildcats will run in their last regular season meet on Saturday at the Johnstown-Monroe Invitational.
