Local staff from the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction (ODRC) are working to clarify misinformation surrounding COVID-19 data. Ohio Reformatory for Women Public Information Officer Clara Golding-Kent indicated a Columbus broadcast news station shared false information that ODRC facilities had 16 confirmed cases of COVID-19. The information was shared during morning and afternoon broadcasts, but corrected during the evening broadcast. According to ODRC data, 16 individuals in correctional institutions were tested for the virus. Reports indicate the reporting person was sent sexually graphic images from two separate phone numbers. According to Marysville Police Department reports: Bradley Cloud, 29, of Marion was cited for theft in the 15000 block of Route 36 at 6 p.m. Tuesday. The Union County Health Department announced today it has received notice of a second confirmed case of COVID-19 in the county. UCHD indicated the affected individual is an adult male. “We want to make sure our community understands that these confirmed cases are only a small snapshot of what is likely happening in our community,” said Union County Health Commissioner Jason Orcena. Memorial Health is implementing a new, online check-in process to help prevent the potential spread of COVID-19.
