The Marysville girls JV golf team captured first-place honors during its final Ohio Capital Conference match of the season. The event consisted of seven teams from different divisions. “The girls played really well, shooting a 208,” said coach Eli Morris. MHS shot one stroke better than Pickerington North and Canal Winchester, which carded matching scores of 209. Westerville Central and Olentangy Orange each shot a 215, Hilliard Davidson tallied a 219 and Bishop Ready shot a 232. Marysville’s Lydia Cunningham carded a medalist-round of 44. She was followed by Madi Wildermuth-50, Rylee Cavins-51, Kelsey Dye-63 and Eva Mason-66.

Marysville’s seventh-grade A football team rolled past Dublin Davis, 40-0, on Wednesday. Marysville controlled the tempo from the beginning, stopping Dublin on its first drive of the night. Bunsold then struck paydirt on its initial drive. The young Monarchs crossed the goal line three more times in the second quarter, taking a 26-0 lead into the half. The Lady Monarch varsity soccer squad battled to a 0-0 tie with Dublin Coffman on Tuesday. “This was a great game played by the Monarchs with outstanding performances noted throughout the field,” said MHS coach Nathan Andrews.
