Brady Fox of JA earned medalist honors as he carded a 77. He helped lead the Pioneers to a low score of 324. JA was followed by Kenton Ridge-330, Graham-359, Northwestern-364, Tecumseh-371, Urbana-375, London-381, Benjamin Logan-388, Indian Lake-398, Bellefontaine-406 and North Union-563. The Ohio High School Athletic Association has outlined procedures that will be conducted while the state battles COVID-19. Practices for all fall sports teams began on Saturday with social distancing and sanitization protocols in place. The OHSAA recently announced there will be no preseason scrimmages permitted for the contact sports of football and soccer. The sports of golf, girls tennis and volleyball, which are considered non-contact, will be permitted to play scrimmages. Golf teams are allowed one scrimmage any time during the season. Fairbanks High School golfer Alex Crowe has been honored as the 2020 Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Associatin’s player of the year. Crowe received the David J. Wensinger player of the year accolade during the organization’s recent season-ending banquet. Crowe tallied 104 points to top the 16-18 age bracket.
