The Ninth annual McCarthy & Cox Charity Golf Outing was a success, raising a record $24,930 for two charities. “Tom McCarthy and I started the McCarthy & Cox Cares Fund in 2013 to assist seniors, youth, and to fill emergency needs in Union County,” Jim Cox, Managing Partner of McCarthy & Cox, said. For the third year in a row, a local resident is organizing an event to provide free haircuts for local youths as they prepare to go back to school. Marysville’s Chris Taylor, of Ohio Concrete Services, will team up with local stylist Kari Burns, of Fades by Kari, to organize an event to provide free back-to-school haircuts for all school-aged children in need at The Hope Center on Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Those attending are encouraged to enter through door number 8.
