Plain City streets will be bustling Saturday during the annual Rock the Clock concert. The 2021 lineup kicks off with Jacked Up Band at 5 p.m. followed by Naked Karate Girls at 6:45 p.m. Headliner Drew Parker will take the stage at 10:15 p.m. Those in attendance should bring their own lawn chairs. Dear Editor, Gerrymandering is the drawing of legislative district maps to benefit one political party. Ohio ranks in the top 10 states for unfairly drawing districts. In 2012, President Obama won Ohio by 3%, but Republicans still won 12 of Ohio’s 16 House seats – due to gerrymandering. King Matthew McMillen, the son of William and DiAnn McMillen, will be a senior at Tolles Career and Technical Center in the firefighting and EMS course of study. He is a nine-year member of the Darby Springs South 4-H club. He has taken market lambs and various special interest projects including knots, woodworking, and electricity. Carl and Jeanie (Heinlen) Thiergartner are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple was married at the United Methodist Church in West Liberty by Pastor F. M. Wentz on July 29, 1951. Together, they have three children, Mike (Lois) Thiergartner of Marysville, Stan (Denise) Thiergartner of Milford Center and Bonnie Thiergartner of Marysville. They also have six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. The pair retired from farming on their family farm.
