According to Plain City Police Department reports: An officer was dispatched to the area of Route 161 and Old Route 161 in reference to a road hazard at 3:28 p.m. June 28. While checking the area, the officer was flagged down by a passerby who advised that she found a large Saint Bernard dog on the roadside. The complainant stated that once the canine was in her vehicle, it became aggressive to the point she didn’t feel comfortable driving it in her car. Barbara J. Robinson, 62, of Columbus died unexpectedly Saturday, June 26 at her home. She was an employee of Core Molding in Columbus and a 1976 graduate of Fairbanks High School in Milford Center. She attended Trinity Chapel in Milford Center with her mother and loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. “Barb” never knew a stranger and always had a smile on her face. Joseph G. Hawkins, a resident of Marysville who organized a local company of soldiers to fight for the North in the Civil War. Vivian M. Heil, 76, of Marysville, died early Friday morning, June 18 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus after months of failing health. Her life was full of her favorite things, from her love for Elvis, antiques and all things Ohio State, to cheeseburgers, vanilla shakes and cokes. Her face would light up the room with the biggest smile whenever she was handed black licorice. She loved the colors purple, navy blue that was the color of her favorite ‘87 Firebird, and the red of a cardinal, her favorite bird to watch. She could also be found frequenting Bob Evans…
