That marked the first time in recent memory the Lady Monarchs achieved that milestone. Emily Williams led MHS for the second consecutive day when she fired a 44. Match results were as follows: Singles -Meoko beat Hanna Hogan (M) 6-0, 6-1; -Cox defeated Blair Fairchild (M) 6-2, 6-0; -Boskovska downed Mallory Huffman (M) 6-3, 6-0. The Marysville Municipal Swimming Pool held its annual Dog Swim Tuesday night, signifying the close of the 2021 summer season. For a small fee, dog owners could let their animals swim in the pool from 5-7 p.m. A portion of the money collected was donated to the Union County Humane Society. Mary A. (Sagun) Kirby Miller died Sept. 1, 2021 at her home in Cheektowaga, New York after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Buffalo, New York on Nov. 29, 1925 to the late Stefan Sagun and the late Antionette (Orzchowska) Sagun. She graduated from Villa Maria Academy in 1944. In 1946, she married the late John F. Miller, Jr. In 1950, their growing family moved to Cheektowaga where they raised eight children. According to Marysville Police Department reports: Adam Hamilton, 44, of Raymond was cited for driving while under the influence of alcohol/drugs on U.S. 33 at 12:28 a.m. Tuesday. Reports indicate MPD was dispatched to an accident in which Hamilton was found in the front seat of a vehicle “in the fast lane of U.S. 33 westbound” near a guardrail. New Albany took top honors with a 293, followed by Dublin Coffman-327, Canal Winchester-336, Upper Arlington-345, MHS-365 and Hilliard Davidson-423. Emily Williams of Marysville shot her best score of the season (85) during the event that was held at New Albany Links.
