Ivan and Nancy (Parr) Schrock of Marysville are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple was married Sept. 3, 1971 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Marysville by Pastor Don Bachman. They have two children, Joseph of Hamilton and Chrystal Montgomery of Centerburg. They also have seven grandchildren. He is retired from COTA and she is retired from Trinity Lutheran School. MHS netters lose to Berlin Marysville’s varsity girls tennis squad dropped a 4-1 verdict to Olentangy Berlin on Wednesday. The lone MHS victory came at second doubles. Plain City residents participated in an “Explore the Darby” program hosted by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Scenic River Division Saturday. Families were able to get up close and personal with native species that help to keep the river healthy. Mayor Jody Carney said learning about and interacting with the crawfish was particularly popular among the children in attendance. According to Plain City Police Department reports: Officers assisted a subject who had locked her keys in the vehicle with a young child inside at the Plain City Aquatic Center on West Second Avenue at 2:16 p.m. Aug. 28. The officers were unable to unlock the vehicle using typical tools and ultimately broke a window to gain access due to the heat while the child was inside.
