Myrtle B. Clark Conrad, 92, of Marysville died July 6, 2019. With her first husband, Russell Clark, she owned and operated Clark Trucking Company, which she continued operating after his death in 1975. She married Robert Conrad in 1980 and he preceded her in death in 2004. A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Robin L. Gibson, 44, of Marysville, died unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019 at Springfield Regional Medical Center in Springfield. She was a 1993 graduate of North Union High School and attended the Grace Baptist Church in Byhalia. She enjoyed reading, writing, drawing, watching scary movies and fishing, but most of all, she loved to spend time with her children and granddaughter. At approximately 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, an injury crash occurred on State Route 38 in front of Fairbanks High School. Joe Newell, Fairbanks Middle School Principal, said no students were involved in the accident. However, one individual was transported from the scene by ambulance to be treated for injuries. Across the roadway, there were also two vehicles that appeared to have been involved in a collision, but officials on the scene were not sure if the two incidents were related. Harold Burns, 92, of Marysville and formerly of Milford Center died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2019 at Walnut Crossing following an extended illness. He loved his family, farming and most of all, serving the Lord. He entered the Army toward the end of World War II and after his discharge married Viola Mader on June 20, 1948. They lived on the family farm situated on the Darby Plains and named Darby Maple Farm for its location and the large maple trees that surrounded the family home. The City of Marysville will hold a service this week to honor and remember the victims of the 9/11 terror attacks. The city’s 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony is set to be held at 9:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Decker Fire Station, 16300 County Home Rd., Marysville. The Boy Scouts of America (Scouts BSA) recently conferred their highest rank of Eagle Scout to Keith Prinster of Marysville. Prinster is a member of Troop 634 of Marysville and is also currently a member of their Venture Crew. For his Eagle Scout project, Prinster chose a conservation project: to construct a Chimney Swift Tower at the Keckley Rural Life Center near Raymond. The Chimney Swift is a threatened species of bird that uses hollow trees and old chimneys for nesting and roosting. Officials from the Marysville Exempted Village School District responded to a possible threat made against the high school. Officials said that Thursday afternoon, a student at Marysville High School recorded a conversation between two other students. A parent contacted school officials Thursday evening to make them aware of the conversation. Margie Hileman, 88, of Marysville died Saturday afternoon at Memorial Gables following an extended illness. She formerly worked on the line at the Abbott’s Company in Prospect for many years. She enjoyed playing bingo and going to yard sales, but most of all, she loved to spend time with her family.
