The struggles continued for Triad High School’s varsity baseball team. The Cardinals dropped a 5-1 verdict to Mechanicsburg. Triad tallied its run in the bottom of the third and made the score hold until the top of the sixth. That’s when the Indians plated all of their runs. The Cardinals’ bats were kept silent as Mechanicsburg pitcher Conner Eyink threw a no-hitter. He fanned five and did not issue a free pass. The Lady Monarch softball squad upped its record to 12-7 by sweeping a twinbill from Westerville Central on Saturday. Marysville won the opener 7-3 and took the nightcap 15-1. Camryn Harbold blasted a three-run homer in the bottom of the first to grab a 3-0 advantage in the opening game.
