The contest was ruled a complete game and upped the Monarchs’ record to 7-1. The Monarchs plated four runs in the visitors’ portion of the second inning and held a 7-3 margin after four frames. FHS plated all of its runs over the first four innings by clubbing Cardinal pitching for 19 hits and taking advantage of four Triad errors. The game was ended by the run rule after five innings.
