Triad’s baseball squad slipped to 0-3 with a 10-0 setback at the hands of West Liberty-Salem. The Tigers plated all of their runs over the course of the second and third innings. The game was shortened to five innings on the run rule. West Liberty-Salem tallied 12 hits and committed one fielding miscue. Tiger pitcher Eli Allen limited Triad to two hits, one each from Bodey Deam and Braydan Hoffman. Allen struck out eight and did not walk a batter. The teams were named in Divisions I and II by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association. The top local honor belongs to Marysville High School senior JoJo Eberhart.
