The bats were singing loudly for the Fairbanks baseball team on Tuesday. The Panthers (11-12) ripped 22 hits during a 16-7 victory at Greenon. Marysville’s boys lacrosse squad posted a 1-3 record during recent games. The Monarchs turned back Newark, 18-7. MHS was led by Mark Frendberg (five goals), Braiden Henson (four) and Corey Weinbrecht (three). Goalie Griffin Ahlstrom tallied four saves. Marysville dropped a 23-2 verdict to Dublin Jerome. Weinbrecht and Isaac Tocci each scored a goal. Ahlstrom finished with 13 saves. MHS lost to Dublin Scioto, 10-2. Henson and David Bonczak each scored a goal. Ahlstrom notched six saves.
