The Cardinals of Triad won their ninth straight baseball contest on Thursday. Triad rolled to a 9-4 verdict over Riverside. Derek Bails started on the mound for the Cardinals. He allowed one hit and one run (unearned) during 3 2/3 innings of work. He fanned five and issued a trio of free passes. Coleman Hauk hurled the final 3 1/3 innings. Fairbanks’ boys and girls track and field teams won a quad meet at Mechanicsburg on Thursday. The FHS boys tallied 112 points, followed by Mechanicsburg-72, Kenton Ridge-44 and Jonathan Alder-15.
