Logan Dunn is switching jobs, but is only moving a couple of doors over on the Ohio Heritage Conference road. Dunn, who has been Triad High School’s athletic director since November of 2019, has been hired, pending approval by the board of education, as the new AD at Fairbanks High School. He is replacing Larry Morris, who is returning to a classroom position at Fairbanks. Dunn was one of 47 applicants for the vacancy and one of 14 who went through a screening process. Marysville High School athletic officials are hanging out the “help wanted” sign for a new head varsity swimming coach. Beth Seman, who held the head coaching spot for the past three seasons, has stepped down. “Beth wants to devote her energy to her family at this time,” said Marysville athletic director Joey Day. Seman served four total seasons in the MHS swimming program, having been an assistant coach for one campaign. Day said he is in the process of accepting applications for the position. Marysville’s two state wrestling placers, Erryl Will and Colton Powers, helped the Monarchs place 20th during the Division I state tournament. MHS finished with 23 team points. Long-time powerhouse Lakewood St. Ed claimed championship honors in the division with 176 points. There were 224 wrestlers, representing 88 schools in the D-I tournament. Jonathan Alder tallied 16 points in the Division II tournament, thanks to the efforts of third-place finisher Oliver Byerly. That tied the Pioneers for 30th place with Cambridge and Howland. Lenard Andrews has devoted a good portion of his life to the sport of wrestling. That dedication has led to a very high honor. Andrews will be inducted into the Ohio Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame this weekend. His high school mat career resulted in a state tournament berth for MHS in the early 1970s. He went on to wrestle at The Ohio State University. Upon graduation from OSU, Andrews returned to his home town as a health and physical education teacher.
