Louzetta “Susie” Reisinger, 70, of Milford Center died Saturday afternoon, May 9, at her home surrounded by her loving family following many months of failing health. She was retired from the Ohio Department of Commerce following 26 years of service. A person of great faith, she and her husband were longtime members of Trinity Chapel in Milford Center. Devoted to family, she cherished the time spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Fraternal of Eagles Auxiliary. Local mail carrier Adam Tullis isn’t letting the coronavirus pandemic prevent him from connecting with the residents on his route. Virginia Price of Lantern Drive said her son, Nicholas, became friends with “Mailman Adam” about two years ago. Typically, she said Nicholas runs outside to see Tullis as soon as he hears the mail truck outside their home. Now, with social distancing guidelines, Price said the two sit on either side of their front door and chat for a second or look at video games through the glass. (Photo submitted)

According to Marysville Police Department reports: Shane Nelson, 41, of W. Third Street was arrested on a warrant service arrest in the 200 block of W. Third Street at 12:29 p.m. Thursday. Police responded to a report of domestic violence in the 200 block of Woodcrest Drive at 3:28 a.m. Thursday. A reporting person indicated there was an unruly juvenile in the residence. Earlier this week, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced he was cutting $355 million for schools from the state budget. As a result, local districts will lose nearly $2.2 million in state funding over the next two months. As the largest district in Union County, Marysville Exempted Village School District will lose nearly half of the area’s total. While Marysville’s per-pupil reduction is relatively low, at $196, when multiplied out by the district’s 5,200-plus students the total reduction passes $1 million. That total reduction represents 1.86% of the district’s operating budget. Superintendent Diane Allen said district officials learned about the cuts…
